1. Overview
At Excellentdesirab, we want you to have a wonderful experience at our candle-making workshops. We understand that sometimes plans change, and we strive to be as flexible as possible while maintaining the quality of our services and fairness to all participants.
This Return Policy outlines our guidelines for cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, and other related matters. Please read this policy carefully before booking a workshop. By registering for any of our workshops, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Workshop Cancellation by Participant
2.1 Cancellation Timeline
We understand that circumstances may require you to cancel your workshop registration. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair while allowing us to manage our resources effectively:
- More than 14 days before the workshop: Full refund minus a small administrative fee of $10 CAD
- 7-14 days before the workshop: 75% refund or full credit towards a future workshop
- 3-7 days before the workshop: 50% refund or full credit towards a future workshop
- Less than 3 days before the workshop: No refund available, but credit towards a future workshop may be offered at our discretion
- No-show without notice: No refund or credit will be provided
2.2 How to Cancel
To cancel your workshop registration, please contact us as soon as possible using one of the following methods:

- Call us at +1 905-845-1200 during business hours
- Submit a cancellation request through our contact form
Please include your full name, the date of the workshop, and your booking confirmation number if available. We will respond to your cancellation request within 2 business days.
3. Workshop Rescheduling
3.1 Rescheduling by Participant
If you need to change the date of your workshop, we offer the following rescheduling options:
- More than 7 days before the workshop: Free rescheduling to any available date within 3 months
- 3-7 days before the workshop: Rescheduling available with a $15 CAD rescheduling fee
- Less than 3 days before the workshop: Rescheduling may be available at our discretion with a $25 CAD fee
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability. If your preferred new date is not available, we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.
3.2 Number of Rescheduling Requests
Each booking may be rescheduled a maximum of two times. After the second rescheduling, standard cancellation terms will apply if you cannot attend the newly scheduled date.
4. Workshop Cancellation by Excellentdesirab
4.1 Circumstances for Cancellation
While we make every effort to conduct all scheduled workshops, there may be circumstances beyond our control that require us to cancel a session. These circumstances may include:
- Insufficient minimum enrollment numbers
- Instructor illness or emergency
- Adverse weather conditions
- Facility issues or unforeseen circumstances
- Public health guidelines or restrictions
4.2 Your Options When We Cancel
In the event that we must cancel a workshop, you will have the following options:
- Full refund of the workshop fee, processed within 5-10 business days
- Credit for a future workshop of equal or greater value
- Rescheduling to the next available date at no additional cost
We will notify you of any cancellation as soon as possible and provide you with all available options. We are not responsible for any incidental costs you may have incurred, such as travel arrangements.
5. Refund Processing
5.1 Refund Methods
Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase:
- Credit card payments will be refunded to the original card
- Bank transfers will be returned to the originating account
- Cash payments will be refunded by cheque or bank transfer
5.2 Refund Timeline
Once a refund has been approved and processed:
- Credit card refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days
- Bank transfer refunds may take 3-5 business days
- The exact timing depends on your financial institution
If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe, please first check with your bank or credit card company before contacting us.
6. Workshop Credits
6.1 Credit Validity
Workshop credits issued as part of a cancellation or special promotion are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Credits cannot be extended beyond this period and will expire if not used.
6.2 Credit Usage
Workshop credits may be used for:
- Any regularly scheduled public workshop
- Private workshop bookings (minimum group size requirements apply)
- Workshop packages or special events
Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If the new workshop is of higher value, the difference must be paid at the time of booking.
7. Group Bookings
7.1 Group Cancellation Policy
Group bookings for private workshops have specific cancellation terms due to the resources required to accommodate groups:
- More than 21 days before: Full refund minus $50 CAD administrative fee
- 14-21 days before: 75% refund
- 7-14 days before: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before: No refund available
7.2 Group Size Changes
If your group size decreases after booking:
- Reductions made more than 7 days before: Adjusted pricing will apply
- Reductions made less than 7 days before: Original quoted price applies
If your group size increases, please contact us as soon as possible. Additional participants are subject to availability and may require venue changes.
8. Gift Vouchers and Certificates
Gift vouchers and certificates purchased for our workshops have the following terms:
- Valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
- Non-refundable after purchase
- Transferable to another person
- Can be used for any public workshop within the validity period
- Cannot be exchanged for cash
9. Exceptional Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. If you experience a medical emergency, family emergency, or other significant unforeseen event that prevents you from attending, please contact us as soon as possible. We will review each case individually and work with you to find a fair solution.
